Grandstands & Stadiums
REIDsteel design, manufacture and build grandstands, stadiums, bleachers (open grandstands without roofs), arenas, auditoriums, theatres and sports stands all over the world. Our grandstand construction projects range from small football stands for local teams - such as this 100 seater football stand for Hamworthy FC - to large sports stadium construction projects like the Aston Villa's Villa Park Stadium, where we designed and built two of the stands, including the Holte End - the largest End Stand in Europe. We also design grandstands and stadia for other sports, including rugby, cricket, athletics and racing, like the impressive grandstand at Rockingham Motor Speedway.
REIDsteel can also construct steel framed auditoriums and arenas, which are a combination of our wide span building design and REIDsteel grandstands. Our auditoriums can be used as theatres, cinemas, churches, conference halls, lecture theatres and concert halls. They can be built with or without sloping terraces or seating, stages, boxes etc. We can do the same for more modest buildings, such as swimming pools, dressage arenas and indoor football or cricket grounds. REIDsteel can incorporate a sliding roof into your arena or stadium design - just let us know. There is no need for stadium construction to be unrealistically expensive.
All of our grandstands can be fitted with REIDsteel terracing and/or seating, as well as verandas, balconies, spectator boxes and corporate hospitality boxes etc. We design seating to ensure excellent viewing without obstructions. Accommodation in grandstands can be used for hospitality suites such as restaurants, ball rooms, balconies, banqueting suites, and bars, or for commentary boxes, TV studios, interview rooms, office space, board rooms, conferencing, video conferencing, shops, or as public facilities such as hotels, and gymnasiums.
Our steel structures do not stop at steel buildings. Our patented cricket sight screens allow unrestricted viewing from the best viewpoints in cricket stadiums - behind the wickets. We also produce a reversible slat sight screen which can be turned from white to black in seconds, and can be opened so as to not get blown over.
We have been designing and erecting steel buildings since the 1920s. What makes REIDsteel differ from other engineering companies is that we will cover everything from the initial design, right through to the manufacture, shipping and erection, all at out 4 acre site in Christchurch. We can supply all the accessories needed for the complete structure, including cladding, roofing and floors. We even have our own windows and doors factory. Using our own unique computer software, which has been designed by us for us, we can design and price any steel structure in minutes. All the fabrication is done on site in our factory. REIDsteel can have a building, stadium or granstand designed and fabricated within 3 months, and have it fully operational within 6 months.
