Motor & Horse Racing Stands

REIDsteel can design, manufacture and build these stands longer than most others - up to 300 metres on the finishing straight. There is usually more emphasis on boxes and corporate facilities than other sports. The boxes themselves may have small grandstand terraces projected in front of them. The viewing is made difficult by crash walls and fences, and REIDsteel can help sort out these viewing compromises. It is also a requirement to see other parts of the course from the stand and this may mean simultaneous design by REIDsteel of pits and paddocks, as well as other grandstands or bleachers around the circuit.

Grandstands and bleachers may also serve as sound barriers; the REIDsteel concrete and/or solid steel terracing does this sound reduction better than other metallic stands.

Sound reduction may also be a factor in the design of infill corners where infill terraces, boxes, verandas or balconies have a part to play.
