Grandstands for these sports are usually long - about 100-114m; or short - about 70m.

We can also design the grandstands so that they are shorter and ready for extension. It is normally better to have a shorter deeper grandstand design than a long thin one as more atmosphere is generated in a compact group of spectators.

Given the choice, in the Northern hemisphere, it is better to develop and undertake construction the South West Stand as the main stand. Most of the wind and rain comes from there, and the sun is not in the spectator's eyes if games are played in the afternoon. Other stands are developed as the need for seats arises. The expensive and un popular stadium corner fill-ins are a last resort.
