Notts County Stadium - Meadow Lane

REIDsteel constructed the entire Stadium for Notts County FC, consisting of four separate football stands at Meadow Lane: The Derek Pavis (main) Stand, The Jimmy Sirrel Stand, The Kop and the Family Stand.

By the early 1990s, Meadow Lane was looking increasing decrepit, and with the new laws on football stadiums published in the Taylor Report, Notts County decided to completely rebuild their football grounds. Three attractive new stands were erected by REIDsteel in record breaking time in the summer of 1992, leaving just the main stand in its original state. At the end of the following season, 1993-94, the Main Stand was demolished, and an impressive new REIDsteel grandstand was built, making Meadow Lane an all-seater stadium with a capacity of just under 20,000.

Both sides are single-tiered, the larger of which is the Derek Pavis stand. Opposite is the Jimmy Sirrel stand, which has a gable on its roof reminiscent of the earlier stands. At one end is the large Kop stand, with a seating capacity of 5400. The other end is the smaller, covered Family Stand. All stands were designed, fabricated, galvanised, erected, planked and clad by REIDsteel.
